Scouts from La Liga giants Barcelona are set to be in attendance at tonight’s meeting between Atlético Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen.
That’s according to ESPN, who point towards the focus of the individuals involved as being set to be on two players.
The pair in question? Jonathan Tah, and Florian Wirtz.
Barcelona have of course been credited with a keen interest in both defender Tah and attacking midfielder Wirtz on a number of occasions in the past.
In the case of the former, some outlets have even gone as far as to claim that a basic agreement on the terms of a pre-contract for the summer is already in place.
Youngster Wirtz, meanwhile, is coveted by a host of leading European clubs, but is considered a perfect fit in the technical style of play in Catalunya’s capital.
As confirmed by ESPN, in turn:
‘Barcelona representatives will watch Bayer Leverkusen duo Jonathan Tah and Florian Wirtz in Tuesday’s Champions League game at Atlético Madrid.’
