Why Barcelona cancelled Hansi Flick’s first pre-season training session

The powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona came to the decision to cancel the club’s very first training sessions under new head coach Hansi Flick on Wednesday.

As much has been confirmed by a whole host of sources across the Spanish media.

Barcelona’s stars who were not called up for international duty this summer reported back to The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper earlier today.

As much came for a round of medical tests, as well as their first pre-season training sessions under the watch of new boss Flick.

Whilst the former took place as planned, however, the latter, as alluded to above, did not.

This came after the executive decision was made not to send Barca’s players out on the training pitch.

Why? The intense weather conditions.

As revealed by Víctor Navarro of Cope, the Blaugrana’s afternoon session did not take place, with the 30-degree heat having been considered too much for the very first session of the summer.
