A fresh insight into the future of Barcelona defender Jules Koundé has been forthcoming online this afternoon.
The info comes courtesy of Mundo Deportivo, who point towards a potential summer departure from Catalunya as being on the cards for the Frenchman.
Koundé, for his part, is becoming increasingly frustrated with his role in Barca’s squad.
Too often shifted from his preferred central-defensive berth to that of a full-back, the former Sevilla man is understood to be giving consideration to seeking out a new adventure with a view to next season.
And, should an offer for his services deemed as reasonable be forthcoming, the powers that be behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital are ready to ‘study’ it with due diligence.
Koundé is currently viewed as something of the odd man out by the Blaugrana, behind the first-choice pairing of Ronald Araújo and Andreas Christensen in the centre-back pecking order, and not in possession of the preferred attack-minded profile at right-back.
With his performances having also taken a notable dip over recent months, and Barca in desperate need of a big-money sale in the summer, the France international, as a result, could well be moved on.
