A member of the attacking ranks at Barcelona scooped the Man of the Match prize for his performance in Saturday’s Clásico.
Barcelona and Real Madrid of course locked horns for the latest occasion late yesterday evening.
With silverware on the line in the finale of the Copa del Rey, Spanish football’s two biggest clubs made the trip to La Cartuja, in the city of Seville.
When all was said and done, it was Hansi Flick’s Blaugrana who emerged on the right side of the result, courtesy of a comeback 3-2 triumph in extra-time.
And as alluded to above, one member of Barca’s ranks saw his efforts en route to as much aptly rewarded following the full-time whistle.
In the midst of a chaotic final few minutes to proceedings in Seville, which saw a trio of Real Madrid stars shown red cards, the Man of the Match award went somewhat overlooked.
After netting his side’s 2nd of the night, amid a stellar all-round showing, though, the accolade ultimately went the way of Ferran Torres:
