What Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé move means for futures of Vinícius & Rodrygo

An insight into the predicted knock-on effect of Kylian Mbappé’s arrival at Real Madrid on the futures of the club’s current crop of attacking stars has been provided late this evening.

The name of frontman Mbappé, of course, has returned to the forefront of the headlines in Madrid across the week to date.

This comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that the 25-year-old has at long last informed the powers that be at long-time employers Paris Saint-Germain of his decision to move on in the summer.

Mbappé’s terms at the Parc des Princes are due to expire upon the season’s close, meaning he will soon become available as a free agent.

And the aforementioned Real Madrid, in turn, have swooped in decisive fashion, expected to tie up a pre-contract agreement with the prolific wide-man any day now.

After it was suggested that news of Mbappé’s impending arrival may have thrown Carlo Ancelotti’s stars off en route to a disappointing draw with Rayo Vallecano on Sunday, what, then, does Florentino Pérez’s latest Galactico signing mean for the futures of the likes of Vinícius Jr, and Rodrygo?

As per transfer insider Matteo Moretto, not much.

Speculation in the media has pointed towards one of Vinícius or Rodrygo being moved on in the summer, to make room for Mbappé in Real’s frontline.

Speaking as part of Fabrizio Romano’s The Daily Briefing on Sunday, though, Moretto assured that Los Merengues’ Brazilian duo need not fret.

This comes with ‘no indications’ stemming from the Santiago Bernabéu at present that sales are on the cards this summer.
