West Ham in talks for Villarreal’s Arnaut Danjuma

According to journalist Toni Juanmartí of Relevo, West Ham are interested in Villarreal forward Arnaut Danjuma.

The Premier League club have approached Villarreal about signing Danjuma for a fee in the region of €36 million plus variables, however, Villarreal could demand as much as €45 million for the Dutch international, with his release clause set at €54 million.

After finishing seventh in the last Premier League, West Ham’s board of directors are keen to add important signings to the squad for next season.

Villarreal are interested in signing Almería player Umar Sadiq as a possible replacement for Danjuma but for the Nigerian to arrive the Yellow Submarine have to sell and the player reportedly wants to leave after the club failed to qualify for Champions League football next season.

The 25-year-old attacker was Villarreal’s top scorer last season and has earned the interest of clubs such as PSG and Liverpool.

Villarreal recently completed the signing of experienced forward José Luis Morales. The former Levante captain joins on a deal until 2024.
