Real are of course primed to lock horns with Pep Guardiola’s City once more later this evening.
As much comes in the return leg of the Champions League quarter-final tie between the clubs.
As things stand, the matchup sits on a knife-edge, tonight’s hosts boasting a minor advantage after battling their way to a 3-3 stalemate in Spain’s capital.
Another action-packed affair, in turn, is widely predicted at The Etihad, which will no doubt see tensions rise between a pair of clubs quickly building something of a rivalry on the continent.
And yet, as alluded to above, in the buildup to Wednesday’s clash, Real Madrid’s stars were nevertheless sure to show their respect for their upcoming opponents.
On their way to taking to the pitch for training in Manchester, Carlo Ancelotti’s squad refused to step on the Man City crest, making a conscious effort to walk around as much, as a show of respect for the Sky Blues as an institution:
