A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona was subjected to the ‘tunnel of slaps’ at the club’s training ground on Friday.
The player in question? Ronald Araújo.
Defender Araújo – fresh off a starring performance in the Champions League against Benfica on Wednesday – today celebrated his birthday.
The Uruguayan turned 26 years of age on March 7th.
As is customary at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, Araújo, in turn, was afforded a ‘special’ celebration on the part of his teammates.
As much saw the stopper make his way through two lines of Barcelona stars, whilst being pushed and slapped playfully.

Turning attentions back towards matters on the pitch, Barca, of course, are primed to return to action on Saturday evening.
After securing a slender first-leg advantage in their Champions League tie with Benfica, the Blaugrana will shift focus back to domestic matters, in a La Liga meeting with Osasuna.
