A member of the goalkeeper ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Friday inched ever closer to a fresh departure from the club. This comes after Marc-André ter Stegen was spotted flying out to seal his latest loan transfer away from the Blaugrana.
Shot-stopper Ter Stegen of course spent the 2nd half of last season plying his trade away from the Camp Nou, with Girona.
The German returned to base in Catalunya’s capital earlier this summer, but was quickly informed that he remains out of the plans of Barcelona headmaster Hansi Flick.
Ter Stegen’s entourage have in turn spent recent weeks scouring the market for a fresh landing spot for their client. Dutch heavyweights Ajax recently emerged as the frontrunners to strike a deal, with negotiations having this week culminated in a definitive agreement.
The 34-year-old, in turn, made the trip to Amsterdam on Friday evening.
