One of the most highly-regarded up-and-coming talents at La Liga giants Barcelona was on target once more on Sunday.
The player in question? Toni Fernández.
The name of youngster Fernández has taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the course of the last week.
This comes after the attacker, at just 16 years, one month and 23 days old, established himself as the youngest goalscorer in the history of Barcelona’s reserve team.
Those of a Blaugrana persuasion, in turn, will no doubt be interested to hear of Fernández, on Sunday, making it two goals in two.
Afforded another start by Barca Atlétic boss Albert Sánchez in the club’s meeting with Unionistas, the Spaniard took just six minutes to open the scoring.
Breaking free in the hosts’ penalty area, Fernández directed a fine left-footed volley into the bottom corner, footage of which can be seen below:
