Vitor Roque’s wife fumes as Barcelona star joins Fernando Torres in record books with red card

The wife of Barcelona starlet Vitor Roque has taken to social media this evening, to reveal her bemusement with the controversial red card shown to the frontman.

Roque, for his part, is fresh off the most drama-filled of cameos, in his side’s La Liga meeting with Alavés.

En route to an eventual 3-1 triumph for Xavi and co, the January arrival in Catalunya was introduced off the bench on the hour mark.

And, after finding the net for the first time in Barcelona’s colours within 60 seconds of his entry to the pitch against Osasuna in midweek, on Saturday, once more, Roque quickly made his presence felt.

Latching onto fellow substitute Héctor Fort’s pull-back, the 18-year-old directed a fine finish into the far bottom corner, rounding out the scoring at the Estadio Mendizorrotza in the process.

Safe to say, however, that few could have quite predicted what was to come next…

After being shown a yellow card midway through the 2nd-half, less than five minutes later, Roque was sent for an early bath.

This came in admittedly harsh fashion, as the Brazilian was unlucky to clip Rafa Marin in his efforts to leap over an incoming challenge.

In the process, Roque became the 2nd youngest player to ever score and be sent off in the same La Liga fixture, older only than Atlético Madrid icon Fernando Torres.

Amid widespread bemusement at the nature of the attacker’s dismissal, meanwhile, one individual who has not been at all shy in making her opinion known comes in the form of Roque’s wife.

Taking to her social media platforms, Dayana Roque unveiled a series of posts, all with one clear message – that her husband should not have been given his marching orders:
