Vitor Roque dealt another blow in Barcelona training

Barcelona starlet Vitor Roque was late this week dealt something of a blow on the training ground.

As much comes amid Barca’s ongoing preparations for the season ahead.

It is of course common knowledge that the future of frontman Roque remains firmly up in the air, ahead of the new campaign.

After failing to convince ex-manager Xavi of his qualities across his first six months at the club, it remains unclear how the Brazilian is faring in efforts to achieve as much under the watch of Hansi Flick.

Those of a Blaugrana persuasion desperate to see Roque stay put for the campaign ahead, in turn, will no doubt be concerned by the latest word stemming from the club’s training ground.

As per a report from Diario Sport, to close their latest session at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper on Friday, Barcelona’s players participated in a series of eight-man rondo drills.

Ansu Fati, Oriol Romeu, Mika Faye and the rest of Flick’s first-team stars saw out the drill away from the club’s academy players.

But Roque, it is noted, was amongst the youth talents, another less-than-positive development for the 19-year-old ahead of the new campaign.
