Vinícius Jr. silences Ballon d’Or doubters with MOTM display for Real Madrid vs Stuttgart

Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. tonight sent a crystal clear message the way of all of his remaining doubters.

This came by way of his latest match-winning exploits on the continent.

Real marked their return to action a short time ago, welcoming Borussia Dortmund to the Spanish capital for a Champions League clash.

With 45 minutes on the clock, Los Blancos found themselves in serious trouble, trailing by two goals to nil, and looking completely bereft of ideas.

When they were needed most, however, Carlo Ancelotti’s key performers stepped up to the plate.

En route to an eventual 5-2 triumph, it was the aforementioned Vinícius who proved himself the undisputed star of the show.

After first levelling things up just beyond the hour mark, the Brazilian had an absolute show in wait for the Santiago Bernabéu faithful.

Picking the ball up near his own corner flag inside the closing ten minutes, Vinícius dribbled the length of the pitch before picking out the bottom corner with aplomb to make it 4-2.

And the 24-year-old’s hat-trick soon followed, Viní again having showcased all of his dribbling brilliance to weave his way towards goal before lashing into the roof of the Dortmund net.

A wonderful individual performance, which should go a long way towards silencing any and all of those who continue to question the winger’s deservingness of the upcoming Ballon d’Or.
