La Liga outfit Villarreal have on Friday confirmed some altogether positive personnel news in the club’s first-team ranks.
This comes amid confirmation that Alfonso Pedraza has been given the green light for a return to competitive action.
Defender Pedraza was for his part condemned to a spell on the sidelines all the way back in the 2023/24 campaign.
After initially managing to play through the pain of an ankle problem suffered in January of last year, the left-back later succumbed to the issue, ruled out long-term as a result.
Pedraza was recently spotted back in training alongside the rest of Marcelino’s squad, giving rise to encouragement surrounding an imminent return for Pedraza.
And, as alluded to above, on Friday, as much has been confirmed.
As per a release across Villarreal’s website and social media platforms, the 28-year-old has been afforded a call-up to the club’s travelling squad to face Rayo Vallecano tomorrow afternoon.
