That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have on Thursday provided a fresh insight into developments behind the scenes in Castellón.
After being afforded a week off owing to the scheduling of the Copa del Rey final, the Yellow Submarine will now turn their attentions towards the season’s final stretch.
First up comes a trip to the Basque Country for a daunting meeting with an Athletic Club outfit no doubt brimming with confidence on the back of their Copa triumph.
The fixture marks an important one in the battle for European football in La Liga.
All of a Villarreal persuasion will therefore no doubt be delighted to hear that boss Marcelino is set to have three fresh personnel options at his disposal at San Mamés.
Two will come in the form of Kiko Femenía and Alberto Moreno, who could slot directly back into the Villarreal backline after sitting out respective bans last time out.
And also back in contention to feature from the off is Alfonso Pedraza, who is now understood to have recovered full fitness, after a lengthy spell on the sidelines with an ankle injury.
