Villarreal reach agreement to sign Valencia midfielders Dani Parejo & Francis Coquelin

Villarreal have reached an agreement to sign Valencia midfielders Dani Parejo and Francis Coquelin for a fee well below €20m, according to Valencia-based journalists Conrado Valle and Javi Mata.

Valencia are currently going through a clearout and reports suggest the fee could be as low as €12m to €13m.

Club president Anil Murthy is happy to allow captain Parejo leave for rivals, Villarreal. Both midfielders will be a welcome boost to Unai Emery’s side, as the former Sevilla boss starts life at La Cerámica without the recently departed midfield pair of Santi Cazorla and Bruno Soriano.

Parejo is expected to sign a three-year deal, while French midfielder Coquelin will put pen to paper on a four-year deal, according to AS.
