Villarreal are in pole position to sign Takefusa Kubo on loan from Real Madrid, according to Onda Cero.
Several La Liga clubs have expressed interest in taking the young Japanese winger on loan, however it has been reported that Unai Emery’s side are favourites to get the deal done.
Villarreal are leading the chase ahead of Celta Vigo, Granada and Osasuna to land Kubo, who was hugely impressive in his loan spell with recently relegated Mallorca. It has been reported that Real Madrid and the player’s representatives have received up to 30 inquiries about the 19-year-old.
Bayern Munich have reportedly offered Madrid €8m for Kubo on a one-year loan deal with no option to buy, but Madrid and the player prefer the idea of getting vital experience as a regular starter elsewhere.
