Villarreal handed injury boost ahead of Valladolid clash

La Liga outfit Villarreal have on Tuesday been afforded a boost on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that striker Ayoze Pérez has returned to group training alongside the rest of the club’s first-team squad.

Frontman Ayoze, for his part, was forced to sit out each of Villarreal’s last two fixtures, either side of the international break.

This came owing to a muscular issue, which brought to a halt what had been a superb start to the season for the Spanish international with his new club.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the Ciudad Deportiva Pamesa Cerámica is anything to go by, then the Villarreal faithful should not be left waiting much longer to see their side’s top scorer back in action.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘The Canary Island striker today trained for the first time with the rest of his teammates after almost three weeks away from the team due to a muscle problem.’

Ayoze, as a result, is expected to be available for selection to boss Marcelino to face Real Valladolid this weekend.
