According to Fabrizio Romano, there has been no €25m bid for Umar Sadiq from Borussia Dortmund, despite reports suggesting others.
Villarreal remain the favourites to sign the forward from newly-promoted Almería as Unai Emery’s side look to strengthen their forward line for the new season.
According to AS, the Yellow Submarine presented an offer to Almería a few weeks ago in an attempt to acquire his services. However, sources close to the operation claim that the proposal is far from the €30m that Almería are looking to pocket for the sale of their star player.
25-year-old Sadiq enjoyed a terrific season for Segunda champions Almería in 2021-22, netting 18 goals and assisting nine in the second tier.
Villarreal, meanwhile, are trying to find clubs for Paco Alcácer and Boulaye Dia to free up their wage bill in order to complete the signing of Giovani Lo Celso.
The Yellow Submarine would also welcome the sale of Arnaut Danjuma, which would bring in the required revenue and allow them to sign Edinson Cavani and Sadiq.
