Valencia table formal bid to bring Rafa Mir back to club from Sevilla

Valencia have this evening moved forward with an opening bid to sign Rafa Mir from La Liga rivals Sevilla.

That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who has provided a fresh insight into developments behind the scenes at the Mestalla.

It has of course proven a busy day for the Valencia transfer team, who have already both wrapped up the signing of Peter from Real Madrid, and bid farewell to Gabriel Paulista, who has since penned terms with Atlético Madrid.

Evidently, though, the Los Che brass are not finished yet.

This comes amid confirmation that they have now stepped up efforts to land Rafa Mir from Sevilla.

As per the aforementioned Fabrizio Romano: ‘Valencia have submitted [a] formal proposal to Sevilla for Rafa Mir’.

The proposal in question is understood to come in the form of an initial loan, featuring an option to make the transfer permanent in the summer.

Negotiations between the parties, in turn, are ongoing.

Frontman Mir himself is said to be extremely keen on the move, having spent the early years of his career developing on Valencia’s books from 2012 to 2018.
