Several members of the first-team squad at La Liga outfit Valencia on Wednesday moved to pay tribute to goalkeeper Jaume Domènech.
As much comes after the 33-year-old saw his expiring terms with the club renewed for another season.
As confirmed in an official statement across Los Che’s website and social media platforms this evening:
‘Valencia CF goalkeeper Jaume Domènech will continue at the club through to June 30th, 2025, after the decision to execute the optional season stipulated in his contract.’
Domènech, for his part, remains very much a backup figure between the posts at Valencia, having been afforded just a solitary appearance across the entirety of the season to date.
But, evidently, his influence in the dressing room is a significant one.
As much is highlighted below, with a number of the Spaniard’s teammates at the Mestalla having played their part in a touching tribute to their experienced goalkeeper, to congratulate him on his extension:
