A fresh update has come to the fore concerning Andriy Lunin’s involvement, or lack of involvement when it comes to the Champions League final on Saturday evening.
This information comes from Instagram, where both the player’s page and that of his wife give an insight into the player’s whereabouts with the Champions League final just over 24 hours away.
Andriy’s wife, Anastasia, posted a video on her Instagram yesterday of Lunin training alone at home whilst his teammates have already made the trip to London.
Meanwhile, on the player’s own Instagram page, he posted an image with the following caption:
“I’m so sorry that I can’t get ready for the most important game of the season and the most important of my life with the rest of the team… Thank you so much for all your messages, support and encouragement!!!
Here’s to the 15th 🤍“
Many fans feel as though Lunin’s absence from the biggest stage in club football would be an injustice given his role in getting Madrid to the final.
It will be interesting to see whether Real Madrid manage to organise alternative transport at the last minute in order to ensure the player is with his teammates for the final, regardless of whether he gets any time on the pitch or not.
