‘Unlike Nico Williams’ – Barcelona transfer target makes Camp Nou move a ‘priority’

A leading summer transfer target on the part of La Liga giants Barcelona is actively pushing to secure a move to the club for next season.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Dani Olmo as the player in question.

The name of versatile attacker Olmo has of course taken its place centre stage in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the last couple of weeks.

As much comes amid Barcelona’s ongoing efforts to bring the 26-year-old back to the club with a view to next season.

After seeing their La Masia product light up the international stage alongside Blaugrana starlet Lamine Yamal and chief summer target Nico Williams at Euro 2024, the Camp Nou brass quickly set about bringing Olmo back to the club.

And, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, it would appear that interest in a reunion between the parties is very much mutual.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘Unlike Nico Williams, who has not yet revealed his intentions, Olmo is very clear that his top priority is Barça, the club where he trained before going to play for Dinamo Zagreb.’

In fact, so committed is the Spaniard to securing a Camp Nou comeback, that he has rejected ‘more attractive offers’ from the likes of Bayern Munich, Manchester United, and Manchester City.
