UEFA has postponed Thursday night’s Europa League match between Villarreal and Qarabag, due to a COVID-19 outbreak in the away side’s squad.
UEFA has announced the postponement of the game that was due to take place on December 10 at the Estadio de la Cerámica in Spain. In the next few hours, UEFA will decide whether to look for a new date to play the game or to suspend it permanently since neither team has anything to play for. Villarreal have already qualified for the next round, meanwhile, Qarabag will exit the competition with just one point from their opening five games.
