Two returnees as PSG announce squad to face Barcelona

Ahead of their touch-down in Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain have announced their squad to face Xavi’s side in their UEFA Champions League quarter-final second-leg.

PSG have arrived in Catalunya ahead of the encounter. Les Parisiens will have to overturn a one-goal deficit if they are to progress to the Champions League semi-finals after they lost the first leg 3-2 at the Parc des Princes. However, PSG will attempt to do so with a strengthened side.

Both recognised right-backs missed the first leg. Achraf Hakimi was injured, whilst Nordi Mukiele also missed out. The Frenchman suffered a head injury against Clermont Foot just days earlier and his absence was in line with the concussion protocol. Their returns bolster Luís Enrique’s options.

There are no surprises in the squad announced by PSG. Presnel Kimpembe, who hasn’t featured since February 2023, remains absent, whilst players such as Layvin Kurzawa, Ethan Mbappé and Senny Mayulu have also remained in Paris.
