La Liga champions Real Madrid have on Monday been afforded some altogether positive news on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that both Antonio Rüdiger and David Alaba have linked back up with their teammates in group training.
Defenders Rüdiger and Alaba were of course recently condemned to respective spells on the sidelines.
The former suffered a hamstring injury during a La Liga meeting with Espanyol at the beginning of the month, with Alaba, amid efforts to recover full fitness following an ACL tear, having then picked up an adductor issue days later.
Neither player has in turn played any part in Real Madrid’s last five fixtures across all competitions.
As alluded to above, though, on Monday, both took significant steps towards a return to competitive action.
This comes amid confirmation that Rüdiger and Alaba trained with the rest of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad at Valdebebas this morning.
The pair are therefore expected to be called up to face Manchester City on Wednesday night.
