‘Two minutes’ – Robert Lewandowski’s post-Real Madrid message to Barcelona teammate Gavi

A humorous post-match exchange between Barcelona pair Robert Lewandowski and Gavi has come to the fore online, in the aftermath of the weekend’s El Clásico.

Barcelona, of course, are fresh off an outing to remember at the home of arch rivals Real Madrid this past Saturday.

After making the trip to the Santiago Bernabéu for a crunch clash atop the La Liga table, Hansi Flick’s troops ran riot, on their way to an eventual 4-0 triumph.

The aforementioned Robert Lewandowski, for his part, was on target to the tune of a brace on the night, whilst Gavi, still working his way back towards full fitness, was introduced to the fray late on.

Whilst the latter’s cameo proved a short-lived one, it was certainly not lacking in flashpoints, though, with Gavi having picked up a yellow card just three minutes after stepping foot on the pitch owing to a fiery exchange with Vinícius Jr.

And precisely as much was at the heart of a lighthearted back-and-forth between the midfielder and Lewandowski following the full-time whistle, the latter having been overheard by DAZN‘s cameras shouting:

“Only two minutes on the pitch and you get a yellow card!”
