Trouble at Real Madrid? Carlo Ancelotti & teammates have ‘given up’ on Vinícius Jr.

A head-turning report, highlighting mounting unrest behind the scenes at La Liga giants Real Madrid, has on Thursday come to the fore online.

The report in question comes courtesy of Diario Sport, and points towards as much as coming as a result of the recent behaviour of star winger Vinícius Jr.

Wide-man Vinícius, for his part, was shown his third yellow card of the campaign this past Tuesday night, the most of any player in Spain’s top-flight.

As much came amid incessant complaining to the referee and his team of officials.

Later in the clash, which saw Real Madrid put Deportivo Alavés to the sword by three goals to two, boss Carlo Ancelotti then felt it necessary to haul the Ballon d’Or favourite off.

This came as Vinícius, despite being on a yellow, continued to rant to those in charge of proceedings at the Santiago Bernabéu, whilst looking capable of lashing out at any moment.

The Brazilian international put himself at serious risk of a 2nd booking, an outcome which would have seen him suspended for this weekend’s Madrid Derby.

And it would appear that his behaviour over the course of the 90 minutes on Tuesday proved the straw which broke the camel’s back for many in the Real dressing room.

As per a report from the aforementioned Diario Sport:

‘At Real Madrid they are fed up with the Brazilian’s attitude. Ancelotti, who is the person who has defended him the most at the club and who maintains an almost paternal role with the player, has spoken to him personally, as has his son Davide and the rest of the staff. And he has given up on him.’

Ancelotti is said to have become increasingly frustrated by Vinícius’ complete failure to pay any sort of attention to his requests when it comes to conduct on the pitch.

Not only that, but it is suggested that the 24-year-old’s teammates, too, ‘have grown tired of mediating on and off the pitch for Vinícius’.

It now remains to be seen if the player can at last get his behaviour under control, or risk a complete disconnect from the dressing room at the Santiago Bernabéu.
