Tottenham to pay Pedro Porro’s buy-out clause

Tottenham Hotspur are ready to activate Pedro Porro’s buy-out clause and sign him before the transfer window closes, reports Fabrizio Romano.

The 23-year-old old has been linked with a move to White Hart Lane for the past couple of days. As he feels equally comfortably playing as a right-back and in midfield, Porro would be a useful addition to Antonio Conte’s squad as he would fit the Italian coach’s system of using full-backs that enjoy going forward.

Tottenham saw their initial offer of €37m plus a player firmly rejected as Sporting Lisbon are not willing to accept anything less than Porro’s €45m buy-out clause.

It appears as though the North London club are ready to pay €45m in order to secure the services of the Spaniard and the two sides just need to negotiate the installments that the fee will be paid in.

Porro has already agreed personal terms with Tottenham and he is expected to sign a five-year contract with the Premier League outfit.
