Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg house hunting in Madrid

Atlético Madrid set off on their summer tour around the world with South Korea being their first destination. Despite the excitement surrounding the tour, the club remain focused on bolstering their squad. One name that stands out prominently in their pursuit is Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, according to AS.

The 27-year-old Denmark international has caught the attention of Atlético. Reports from England suggest that Tottenham are becoming more intrigued by the idea of negotiating his departure.

Daniel Levy, known for his tough negotiating tactics, is actively exploring options to find a suitable replacement for the midfielder. Conor Gallagher, Douglas Luiz, and Gabri Veiga have all emerged as potential candidates, with Franck Kessié of Barcelona also being considered. For the first time, Chelsea appear to be open to entertaining offers for their energetic midfielder, Gallagher.

Atlético are said to have already reached an agreement with Højbjerg, and despite being on the Tottenham tour, he is reportedly already on the lookout for a place to live in Madrid. The price tag for Højbjerg’s potential transfer to Atlético is estimated to be in the range of €35m to €40m.
