Tottenham make new offer for Pedro Porro

Tottenham Hotspur have improved their offer to Sporting Lisbon for Pedro Porro, reports Fabrizio Romano.

The Premier League side are keen to strengthen the right-hand side of their defensive line and they have identified Porro as a viable transfer target. The attacking-minded 23-year-old would be an ideal fit for Antonio Conte as he is comfortable going forward.

Sporting Lisbon have put a €45m price tag on Porro. Spurs submitted an offer worth €37m plus variables, as well as a player. However, the Portuguese outfit are sticking firm to their initial asking price. It is unknown which of their players Tottenham are willing to include in the deal.

The two parties are set to continue negotiations today. With the transfer window closing next week, Tottenham are keen to finalise an agreement as soon as possible.

Porro joined Sporting Lisbon initially on loan from Manchester City. The club chose to sign him permanently last summer for €8.5m
