Tottenham consider Spanish goalkeeper David Raya

Tottenham Hotspur are keen on making a move for Brentford goalkeeper David Raya, report AS.

Hugo Lloris’ contract is set to expire in June 2024 in North London and Spurs are in the market to find a long-term replacement for the French goalkeeper, who turned 36 last month.

Tottenham’s board have identified Raya as Lloris’ potential successor between the sticks and they are considering their negotiation strategy for the Spaniard.

Raya’s contract with Brentford will expire in June 2024 and Spurs are currently contemplating whether to sign the 27-year-old now at a cut-price or wait until next year to secure his services on a free transfer.

Raya has shown great form at Brentford this season and has caught the eyes of Europe’s elite. The Catalan goalkeeper already has five clean sheets in the Premier League this season and was part of Luis Enrique’s World Cup squad for the Qatar World Cup.
