Tottenham ask Real Madrid about Bale

Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez and his counterpart at Tottenham Hotspur, Daniel Levy, have met in Madrid to discuss Gareth Bale’s potential return to Spurs, according to El Chiringuito.

According to Juan Sanz, a journalist on the show, Levy specifically asked Pérez about Bale with an interest in bringing him back to Tottenham. The Welshman was left out of the squad that beat Sevilla over the weekend, despite being fit and a couple of attacking injuries for Zinedine Zidane, including Eden Hazard.

Rodrygo Goes has taken his chance, and this together with recent injuries, has kept Bale out of the starting XI.

With José Mourinho now in charge at Tottenham, the interest comes as no surprise from a coach that reportedly wanted the winger at Manchester United.
