Toni Kroos speaks out on Real Madrid future after Man City victory

Real Madrid star Toni Kroos was inevitably asked for an update on his future, in the aftermath of his side’s downing of Manchester City on Wednesday.

Kroos, for his part, of course played a central role late last night, as Real booked their spot in the semi-finals of the Champions League once more.

Owing to an eventual penalty shootout victory over reigning holders Man City, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops kept alive hopes of wrestling back their title of European champions.

Kroos, for his part, saw out the opening 80 minutes at The Etihad, putting in a typically composed display before ultimately being hooked for Luka Modrić.

Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle, however, attentions quickly shifted away from his side’s latest victory, and towards Kroos’ future.

As much comes ahead of the expiration of the German’s terms in Spain’s capital this coming summer.

And though reports have long pointed towards Kroos having already come to the decision to stay put for another season, on Wednesday, he remained altogether non-committal:

“My last year at Real Madrid? I still don’t know.”
