“This team is not dead yet” – Granada coach José Ramon Sandoval’

Granada managed a resounding 3-0 win against Osasuna on Sunday afternoon to keep their hopes of playing top-division football next season alive.

Head coach José Ramon Sandoval was adamant that the season is not yet over for his side, but did not downplay the massive effort needed from his players if they are to remain in La Liga next season.

Per Mundo Deportivo, the coach said: “We have to be aware that we are still very far from staying up.”

He also emphasized his side’s need to ‘move forward‘ and mentioned that they have to focus on playing the final four matches without a loss.

Granada are currently 10 points adrift from safety but will have their sights set on gaining ground on Celta Vigo, who have a tough run-in and are still to face Granada.

Granada head to the Andalusian capital to face Sevilla next Sunday, knowing that nothing but a win is enough to keep their hopes alive.
