Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has revealed his take that current Reds star Trent Alexander-Arnold is angling for a move to Spain with Real Madrid.
This comes owing to a recent round of comments laid out by the 26-year-old.
The name of defender Alexander-Arnold has of course taken its place back front and centre in the headlines in Spain’s capital over the last couple of weeks.
This comes amid renewed speculation linking the England international with a move to Real Madrid.
Los Blancos recently lost first-choice right-back Dani Carvajal to a long-term injury, expected to keep the 32-year-old sidelined for the remainder of the campaign.
Alexander-Arnold, as a result, has reemerged as a leading transfer target at the Santiago Bernabéu.
And one individual of the opinion that such a transfer coming to fruition is now looking increasingly likely comes in the form of the aforementioned Jamie Carragher.
After Alexander-Arnold revealed his ambition to secure a Ballon d’Or before his career is out, fellow Merseyside native Carragher explained:
“My first thought is that you won’t win it at Liverpool as a right-back. Ballon d’Or winners normally play for Madrid or Barca, that’s where. When I saw that… it makes me think he’s going to Real Madrid.”
