Former Arsenal and Barcelona star Thierry Henry has provided an insight into the details of his pre-match discussion with Real Madrid frontman Kylian Mbappé.
This of course comes with Real Madrid locked in action with one of Henry’s ex-employers, in Arsenal.
Los Blancos have made the trip to north London for the first leg of a Champions League quarter-final tie with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
Summer signing Mbappé, meanwhile, was as expected afforded a starting berth at The Emirates, in his customary role at centre-forward.
And as alluded to above, ahead of kick-off, the 26-year-old was pulled in for a chat by a legendary fellow countryman.
In attendance as part of his punditry role for CBS Sports, Thierry Henry was spotted on the pitch in a brief discussion with Mbappé.
And the former has since opened up on precisely what he said to Real Madrid’s top scorer, admitting:
“I spoke to Mbappé. I don’t wish anything bad on him but tonight I said to Kylian, ‘please, I don’t want to see you’.”
