Speaking to Movistar after Real Madrid won their 14th Champions League on Saturday, Thibaut Courtois discussed the club’s 1-0 win over Liverpool.
“It’s incredible, so many years, so much work. To come to the club of my life. I saw many criticising me. Today we showed who is the king of Europe. I felt good in last few weeks. Once you make the first stop… Nobody could take away my desire to win the Champions League.
“For Salah’s one, I had to stretch out quite far. It was crazy. I can’t believe it. I’m sorry for my brother, he’s getting married tomorrow and I can’t be there. On Monday there’s another civil wedding and I’ll be there.”
