The Real Madrid star set to benefit most from Toni Kroos’ retirement

An insight into the predicted knock-on effect of Toni Kroos’ decision to hang up his boots on the plans of La Liga giants Real Madrid for next season has today been forthcoming.

The info comes courtesy of Relevo, and points towards one player being set to benefit more than any other.

The individual in question? Eduardo Camavinga.

Midfielder Camavinga has for his part been in and out of the Real Madrid XI across the season to date, at times even forced into a full-back role owing to overbooking in the middle of the park.

Next season, however, the Frenchman’s prominence in Spain’s capital will reach a new level.

That’s according to the aforementioned Relevo, who have revealed that Camavinga will essentially act as Toni Kroos’ replacement in Carlo Ancelotti’s engine room ranks.

The 21-year-old was brought to the Santiago Bernabéu with as much in mind, viewed as boasting all of the necessary traits to thrive in a deep-lying playmaker role.

‘The Frenchman, signed in 2021, came for this and now he must take the definitive step,’ it is concluded.
