The La Liga players in Argentina’s World Cup squad

Yesterday Lionel Scaloni announced his Argentina squad for the Qatar World Cup.

Amongst stars including Lionel Messi from PSG and Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martínez, the 44-year-old included nine players who play in La Liga.

Despite Atlético Madrid’s and Sevilla’s terrible form over the past couple of weeks, Scaloni decided to call up Nahuel Molina and Rodrigo De Paul from Los Colchoneros, as well as Gonzalo Montiel, Marcos Acuña and Papu Gómez from Los Nervionenses.

Germán Pezzella and Guido Rodriguez from Real Betis were also included in the team. Both players played a key role in Los Verdiblancos’ great start to the season.
