The 3 defenders on Barcelona’s ‘radar’ for final weeks of transfer window

La Liga giants Barcelona have drawn up a three-man shortlist of targets to reinforce the heart of the club’s backline over the final weeks of the transfer window.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who have provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes at the Spotify Camp Nou.

The situation at the heart of Hansi Flick’s Barca backline has of course changed considerably over the course of recent days.

After Ronald Araújo made the call to take his talents to the Premier League with Liverpool, the Spanish champions have all of a sudden been left looking somewhat short on options at the back.

With as much in mind, Deco and his team of directors have begun scouring the market for potential defensive reinforcements. And as alluded to above, this search has already culminated in a trio of leading targets emerging in Catalunya’s capital.

As per a report from Sport, Barcelona’s stopper search currently centres on the following three names: Aymeric Laporte (Athletic Club), Castello Lukeba (RB Leipzig) and Natan (Real Betis), in this order.
