The 3 Barcelona stars who will be suspended vs Girona if booked against Valencia

Three members of the midfield ranks at Barcelona will be forced to walk the disciplinary tightrope in the club’s meeting with Valencia later this evening.

The trio in question? Andreas Christensen, İlkay Gündoğan, and Oriol Romeu.

All three are just a solitary yellow card away from picking up a one-game La Liga suspension.

Should as much come on Monday, it would mark a heavy blow, with Barcelona’s next outing representing arguably their most important of the remainder of the campaign.

Xavi’s troops will make the short trip across Catalunya on May 4th, to take on the Spanish season’s surprise package, in Girona.

As things stand, Míchel’s troops sit a point clear of Barca in the La Liga table, in 2nd place.

With qualification for the Supercopa de España set to go the way of the club who finish out the term as runners-up behind champions-in-waiting Real Madrid, Xavi and co. will therefore no doubt be desperate to have as many of the club’s key performers as possible available for selection.

Gündoğan, Christensen and Romeu, as a result, will need to watch their step over the 90 minutes against Valencia.
