TEAM NEWS | FC Barcelona XI vs Benfica

Barcelona travel to Portugal to take on Benfica in Group E of the Champions League.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Ronald Koeman is once again expected to start Oscar Mingueza and Sergiño Dest at right and left-back respectively. Gavi, 17, looks set to play in midfield, with Philippe Coutinho playing off the striker.

In defence, Mingueza has gained ground on Sergi Roberto at right-back. He had a good game in the 3-0 win over Levante. Dest, on the left, was also impressive at Camp Nou on Sunday. Gerard Piqué and Ronald Araújo are almost certain to start in central defence for the Catalan club tonight.

Koeman will reportedly resort to a double pivot in midfield with Sergio Busquets and Frenkie de Jong. Memphis is expected to play on the left, with his compatriot and former PSV team-mate, Luuk de Jong, playing as the central striker.

Pedri and Sergi Roberto are in the matchday squad after short spells out. Ousmane Dembélé, Martin Braithwaite, Sergio Agüero and Jordi Alba all remain on the sidelines. After making his long-awaited return to the first team with a goal against Levante on Sunday, Ansu Fati is also in the Champions League squad.

Possible Barcelona XI vs Benfica:

Ter Stegen – Mingueza, Piqué, Araújo, Dest – Busquets, Frenkie de Jong, Gavi – Coutinho, Luuk de Jong, Memphis.
