Talks between Real Betis and Nottingham Forest over William Carvalho transfer have stalled

As communicated by Estadio Deportivo, negotiations between Real Betis and Nottingham Forest have stalled as the two clubs are failing to come to an agreement that would see William Carvalho move to The Reds this summer.

It was communicated in July that Nottingham Forest have made William Carvalho their number one transfer target.

However, the newly promoted Premier League side saw their €10 million joint bid for the Portuguese international and full-back Álex Moreno rejected by Betis, putting a potential deal in doubt.

Since the submission of their bid to Betis, Nottingham Forest have managed to secure the services of Belgian Orel Mangala from Stuttgart, making the signing of William Carvalho less of a priority for the club.

Betis value the 30-year-old midfielder in the region of €8 and €10 million and are considering to sell him this transfer window as his contract with the club is set to expire in June 2023.
