A head-turning update on the future of Barcelona star Ansu Fati with the club has come to the fore on Thursday.
The info comes courtesy of Relevo, and points towards Ansu being all but certain to stay put through the close of the summer transfer window.
Across much of the summer to date, speculation has pointed towards the 21-year-old being in line for a fresh Camp Nou exit, on the back of an underwhelming loan stint in England with Brighton & Hove Albion last time out.
A recent injury complicated matters for Deco and co, but the consensus nevertheless remained that, upon the window slamming shut, Ansu would be lining out in the colours of a new club.
Safe to say, then, that the latest update on the situation to have surfaced on Thursday will come as something of a surprise.
As per a report from Relevo:
‘Before the start of the season, the club told him that he was starting from scratch. The injury has not changed the plans with Ansu who remains firm that he will stay and for the moment there is no movement to leave.’
