La Liga giants Barcelona have this week been contacted, regarding their interest in the signing of a member of the midfield ranks at Paris Saint-Germain.
That’s according to Barcelona insider Gerard Romero, who points towards Danilo Pereira as the player in question.
Amid the long-running speculation linking the club with a move for a new deep-lying midfield option, Danilo, it is claimed, has been directly offered up to the Camp Nou brass.
Speaking on his official Twitch platform, the aforementioned Gerard Romero confirmed as much, revealing that super agent Jorge Mendes recently touched base with Deco and co, to gauge their interest in a deal for the 32-year-old.
Any such transfer looks unlikely as things stand, with Danilo commanding considerable wages, and Barca boss Hansi Flick having already publicly made clear his happiness with the engine room options at his disposal.
The move cannot yet be entirely ruled out, however, with a further update on the situation expected to be forthcoming in the media in short order.
