‘Spectacular’ – Carlo Ancelotti hails unsung Real Madrid hero after Atalanta

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has moved to heap praise on something of an underappreciated member of his squad.

As much comes owing to his efforts in the club’s meeting with Atalanta.

Real Madrid were of course back in action a short time ago, making the trip to Italy for a Champions League showdown with in-form Atalanta.

When all was said and done, Los Blancos snapped their hosts’ nine-game win streak courtesy of a hard-fought 3-2 triumph.

Post-match, the likes of Jude Bellingham, Vinícius Jr. and Kylian Mbappé have grabbed the majority of the headlines, after all finding the net in Bergamo.

Speaking to the media a short time ago, though, it was a more unsung member of his midfield whom the aforementioned Carlo Ancelotti was quick to reveal his appreciation for.

After the Spaniard shone once more in his latest start in the middle of the park, Ancelotti highlighted Dani Ceballos’ performance as ‘spectacular’:

“Today I would highlight Ceballos. He had a great game, I really liked it. He was spectacular.”
