Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has on Tuesday hit back at La Liga president Javier Tebas.
This comes after the Spanish patron, not for the first time this season, made use of the opportunity to aim a series of digs at the reigning La Liga champions.
Amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the officiating of Real Madrid’s fixtures, Tebas accused Los Blancos of being ‘a whiny club’.
During an interview with The Objective (as cited by Diario AS), the La Liga chief sniped:
“We have had a lot of controversy over refereeing in recent weeks. From Real Madrid TV, Real Madrid creates controversy and writes a false story, calling into question all of football. It is a verbally aggressive and manipulated story. I know many Real Madrid fans who do not agree with Real Madrid, which is a whiny club, it cries all day long. They cry for the weekend, they will cry for the following weekend and it is all the fault of a conspiracy.”
Speaking during his latest pre-match press conference on Tuesday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of Tebas’ comments was put to the aforementioned Carlo Ancelotti.
And the Italian was in no mood to mince words, responding:
“The president Tebas speaks too much about Real Madrid. He’s disrespecting millions of Madridistas. The president should focus on different problems of Spanish football.”
