Barcelona star Marc-André ter Stegen has sent a message of support and appreciation the way of the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad.
This, of course, comes fresh off an impressive Barca triumph on the continent on Wednesday night.
After finding themselves a man down inside the opening 25 minutes of an away trip to Benfica in the Champions League, the Blaugrana came together as one to hold their hosts at bay.
Not only that, but a wonderful Raphinha strike during the 2nd-half proved enough to secure an advantage for the Catalans ahead of next week’s return leg.
And one individual who was left ‘proud’ by the performance put forth by Barca on Wednesday was the aforementioned Marc-André ter Stegen.
Goalkeeper Ter Stegen is of course sidelined long-term at present, owing to a serious knee injury suffered early in the season.
The German, though, was quick to show his appreciation for his teammates post-Benfica, taking to his official ‘X’ account to write:
‘Very proud of you guys’
