Sevilla star Isaac Romero has on Friday spoken out regarding his availability for the club’s upcoming showdown with Real Betis.
The latest edition of El Gran Derbi is of course set to play out this weekend.
Seville rivalries will be restored on Sunday evening, when Sevilla act as hosts in a La Liga clash with neighbours Betis at The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium.
Heading into the matchup, the former have been left to sweat over the status of a key member of the club’s attacking ranks, in the aforementioned Isaac Romero.
Frontman Isaac was forced to sit out each of the Nervionenses’ last two outings, owing to an ankle injury.
During an appearance in front of the media on Friday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of his wellbeing was put to the 24-year-old himself.
And Isaac’s response proved a hopeful one, amid confirmation that he is doing ‘everything possible’ to play his part against Betis on Sunday:
“I’m doing very well,“ the Sevilla star explained to Radio Sevilla, as cited by Mundo Deportivo. “I’m back with the group and I feel good. I’m doing everything possible so that the manager can count on me. I still have some discomfort, but I’m going forward with everything.”
